The mission of the Rappahannock Foundation, Inc. is to be a community arts advocate by providing exceptional performing arts experiences in the Northern Neck of Virginia

Support the RFA

The Rappahannock Foundation for the Arts is supported by the generous contributions of donors, by On Stage season subscribers, and by corporate and business sponsors of programs and events. RFA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. All contributions are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

Through your contributions, RFA supports:

  • Professional performances by highly acclaimed artists in our On Stage series, available to the community and to area students
  • Maintenance of a state-of-the-art theater at the Lancaster Elementary School, a venue open to all performing arts groups in the community
  • Arts for Youth – an annual series of professional performances for area primary and middle school students.

Students from Lancaster Elementary School and Chesapeake Academy begin passing spinning plates on their own, surprising even their instructor, circus performer Geoff Marsh. Marsh performed two shows at LES in 2024, showing students how to juggle, spin plates and perform closeup magic, while also teaching an important lesson—that while life may be a constant juggling act, you can have great fun if you focus and believe in yourself.
